Cohort Go Health Insurance.

  1. Providers. Cohort Go provides Services and the insurance providers provide the insurance policies to you. If you decide to apply for an insurance product, by using a link on the Website, Cohort Go will collect your application and payment and submit those to the relevant provider. You acknowledge that any policy you purchase is purchased from the provider under the provider’s terms and conditions, and not by Cohort Go, and Cohort Go is not liable to you in relation to the policy. Cohort Go is not a registered health benefits organisation, and does not provide any health-related services. Cohort Go does not guarantee the ability of the provider to fulfil its obligations to provide the insurance that you may purchase.

  2. Purchases. By purchasing and paying for a policy, you warrant you are the authorised holder of the account used for payment and/or have express consent of the authorised account holder to make the relevant purchase and payment.

  3. Summarised Information. The Website contains statements regarding the terms of the products offered, including details of the benefits available and items not covered by the product. Such statements are generalised in an attempt to give you a summary of the types of products available and not a comprehensive comparison of all terms and conditions of each policy document. The comparison contains no personal recommendations, suggestions or advice about the suitability of a product or service for you and your needs, and does not take into account your individual circumstances. Not all products are the same and you should confirm the exact terms of any product that you intend to purchase prior to proceeding. For certain insurances, Cohort Go may not compare all products in the market. You are responsible for your choice of insurance and should you have any doubt regarding a policy, you should seek further advice in order to make a fully informed decision.

  4. Refunds. Refunds for your purchase can be facilitated from the provider in the following instances (provided you meet the provider requirements for refunds):

    1. If your visa was refused by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (proof from DIAC will be required).
    2. You have decided to not travel to Australia.
    3. Where you have inadvertently bought two policies from the same or different providers.
    4. You have made a mistake in your application.

      Where you are entitled to a full refund from the provider, Cohort Go will refund you the full purchase price, less any commissions, and bank fees that may be charged if Cohort Go needs to send you an international payment. Where you are not entitled to a full refund, Cohort Go will refund you for the unused portion of your premium, less any commissions and bank fees that may be charged if we Cohort Go needs to send you an international payment and any minimum cover period or refund processing fee that your provider may charge. Refunds will be refunded back to the original source where those funds were received from or processed back to the original card.
  5. Your information may be disclosed to Australian government departments or agencies (such as the Australian Taxation Office, the Private Health Insurance Ombudsman, the Department of Health and the Department of Home Affairs).
